Biography

Kaoklai Keannorsing was born September 13, 1983. His real name is Athit Damkam. With a weight of 176 pounds, Kaoklai is the lightest competitor in the K-1 division Superheavyweight, which in the past, only combatants courted at least 200 pounds. His fight are good examples of lively and precise attack, which makes it able to fight with more severe Guy. He was also known as K-1 killer of giants.

Since its debut in K-1 July 17 at the Asian GP in Seoul, Korea, Kaoklai made his presence felt and showed that the size may be an overrated factor. He began his distinguished career in K-1 with a quick KO of Denis Kang in the 1st round. Kaoklai would get to the victories of decision Tsyoshi Nakasako, and Shingo Koyasu take the victory of the tournament and earn its place in the Grand Prix 2004. His next fight would be a total cancellation of Kaoklai Kaennorsing.

He faced Alexey Ignashov, Belarus fighter with a record of 63-6, which was not only bigger and stronger, but it is also a veteran of K-1 in the opening round of the World Grand Prix . Kaoklai would once again shock the world and show that size does not matter, taking a decision on the victory Ignashov with a Dodge and choose the technique that Ignashov confused and he could not mount an offense. It is only 21 years and veteran of over 70 Muay Thai fights. Kaoklai Kaennorsing shows that smaller can sometimes hang in the big league.


Boxing Carrier Accomplishment

Kaoklai Kaennorsing was the first Thai K-1 Grand Prix winner at Seoul in July 2004 to only 176 pounds, beating fighters of 195 and 216 pounds in the process. As for winning the GP in Seoul, two other great moments Kaoklai K-1 came, as he showed the true attributes of a great Muay Thai fighter. Beat the giant of 1.96 m (6 ft. 5 in.), 118 kg (260 lb) Belarusian Alexey "The Scorpion Ignashov Red 'to a decision over 4 rounds of grueling and spectacular 1st round KO by the Mighty Mo U.S. weighing 132 kg (290 pounds)!

In March 2005, he was again in the final of the World Grand Prix in Seoul and lost a very disputed match vs. the 2.18 m (7 ft 2 in) 162 kg (356 lb) Goliath Choi Hong-man.
